Inverness sets secondary public offering

Inverness Medical Innovations Inc. today priced a previously announced secondary public offering of 6 million shares of its common stock at $39.65 a share.

The Waltham company develops, manufactures, and markets consumer and professional medical diagnostic products, principally in the fields of cardiology, infectious diseases, and women's health.

Jefferies & Co. and UBS Investment Bank are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering, and Cowen and Co. and Leerink Swann & Co. are acting as co-managers of the offering.

On the American Stock Exchange yesterday, company shares closed at $39.65, up $1.17, or 3 percent.
