Layoffs coming at WBZ-TV, source says

Amid widespread speculation about possible layoffs at WBZ-TV (Channel 4), a source inside the station with knowledge about station plans said today that WBZ plans to let go at least 10 employees, as early as tomorrow.

None of the staffers are on-air talent but may include producers, writers, and editors.

Ro Dooley Webster, a spokeswoman for WBZ, said only that ‘‘I have to decline to comment on personnel speculation.’’
