Pennichuck upgrading water treatment plant

Pennichuck Corp. said today it completed the second phase of a $40 million upgrade.
The work on a Nashua water treatment plant includes a new finished water pumping station, a new 6.5 million gallon finished water storage tank, a new backwash holding tank, and finished water chemical feed facilities.
The third phase of the upgrade will be completed over the next two years and will include construction of a new water inlet system as well as upgrades to the plant's clarification, filtration, and chemical feed facilities.
