Verizon Wireless said today it completed $318 million in enhancements to its New England network during 2006.
Activity last years increased the company's regional network investment to more than $1.8 billion since 2000, the company said, and the capital expenditure in New England is part of more than $35 billion invested across the country in the last seven years, the company said.
"Investment in our network is an investment in customer satisfaction," Ken Dixon, president of the company's New England region, said in a statement.
New Jersey-based Verizon Wireless is a joint venture between Verizon Communications Inc. and Vodafone Group.
