Brown Rudnick partners with firm in India

Boston law firm Brown Rudnick entered an exclusive referral relationship with a law firm in India.

Looking to expand its geographic reach, Brown Rudnick - full name: Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP - said today it has entered a relationship with Poovayya & Co., which is headquartered in Bangalore.

Under their agreement, the two firms said they will "cross-market services" as they focus on such practice areas as technology and outsourcing, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions.

"Today India is a key player operating in the global market in business sectors ranging from services to manufacturing and research and development," Joseph F. Ryan, Brown Rudnick chief executive, said in a statement.
