General Dynamics gets $44m Army deal

The U.S. Army said Tuesday it awarded a $44.1 million contract to a unit of General Dynamics Corp.
Tauton-based General Dynamics C4 Systems will provide work on the Warfighter Information Network, the Army's secure voice and data communications system. The Army granted the contract on Feb. 8.
The defense firm will perform work in Taunton and Gaithersburg, Md., through June 30.
Shares of General Dynamics added $1.03 to close at $79.81 on the New York Stock Exchange. (AP)
