Ivrea appoints Lynch to top spot
Ivrea Pharmaceuticals Inc. said today it has appointed Daniel S. Lynch as president and chief executive officer.
The Quincy company focuses on developing and commercializing treatments for dermatologic conditions.
Lynch's resume includes a stint as chief executive of ImClone Systems Inc., a New York biopharmaceutical company.
According to Ivrea, Lynch "led ImClone through a significant turnaround;" during his tenure, ImClone received Food and Drug Administration approval of Erbitux, a cancer treatment.
"Dan brings over 20 years of healthcare leadership to Ivrea including substantial experience in strategy development, operational execution, research & development, business development, and finance," Peter Barrett, chairman of Ivrea's board of directors, said in a statement.
