Northeastern hosts entrepreneurship confab
An event to promote entrepreneurship in Massachusetts is scheduled for today with keynote addresses by US Senator John F. Kerry and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino.
Called Mass Entrepreneurship, the event is co-organized by Northeastern University, the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance, and the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center, and its aim is to bring together institutions that play a pivotal role in educating and supporting technology-focused entrepreneurship in the Bay State.
Other highlights of the invitation-only forum at the Langham Hotel in Boston this afternoon will be the release of a survey assessing the needs of entrepreneurship programs in Massachusetts and a panel discussion on the survey's results moderated by Paul Zavracky, dean of Northeastern University's School of Technological Entrepreneurship.
Today's event is billed as the statewide kickoff to EntrepreneurshipWeek USA, the organizers said.
