Pier 1 gets restraining order vs TJX

Pier 1 Imports Inc. obtained a temporary restraining order against TJX Cos.
Pier 1, a Fort Worth, Texas, home furnishings retailer said the order enjoins Framingham-based TJX from filing any judicial proceeding or lawsuit against Alexander Smith, other than an arbitration claim with the American Arbitration Association.
Smith, Pier 1's chief executive, is a former TJX executive.
TJX has threatened legal action against Smith in an effort to stop him from working at Pier 1. (Dow Jones)
