Sonus Networks Inc., which provides hardware and software for voice and data communications, said the Nasdaq Stock Market has decided to stay the Feb. 12 deadline for the company to comply with listing rules.

The Westford company will remain listed on the Nasdaq pending further action by a review council.

Sonus must file second- and third-quarter financial results with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company launched an internal investigation into possible backdating of stock options. Last year, it found some stock-option grants, mainly issued between 2000 and 2003, had measurement dates for accounting purposes that were different from the recorded grant dates.
