Start-up lands Victoria's Secret business
A Cambridge start-up, n2N Commerce Inc., has landed Victoria's Secret as a customer.
The corporate parent of the underwear brand also agreed to supply part of n2N's initial $30 million in funding.
N2N has devised what it calls a cross-channel platform for giant retailers to "seamlessly integrate eCommerce, call center, and order management applications."
The company, which noted that Victoria's Secret Direct will power its direct-to-consumer business with n2N software, said the initial funding came from General Catalyst Partners, a Cambridge venture capital firm, and Ohio retailer Limited Brands Inc., whose chains include Victoria's Secret.
"We founded n2N to fill a big void in the market," cofounder Ruben Pinchanski said. "Today large, multichannel retailers have limited choices: integrate expensive packaged applications, maintain custom code, or compromise business requirements through a hosted service."
