Dusa targets "hard-to-reach" acne
Dusa Pharmaceuticals Inc. is targeting the hard-to-reach acne market.
Dusa, a Wilmington company with a focus on dermatology products, is launching ClindaReach, a prescription treatment that packages a topical antibiotic with an ergonomically designed applicator to treat "hard-to-reach acne," such as acne on the back, the company said.
Out of frustration, many sufferers give up on treating back acne because swabbing afflicted areas is such a logistical challenge, Dusa suggested, with its new product, that challenge has been addressed, the company claims.
"We recognized the challenges patients with hard-to-reach acne experience and developed ClindaReach to meet this compelling need," Dusa president Bob Doman said in a statement.
