Finisar Corp. said it expects to complete its acquisition today of AZNA LLC, a Wilmington firm that makes photonics components for telecommunications equipment manufacturers.

Finisar, a California company that specializes in fiber-optic subsystems and network performance test systems, said it had agreed to pay $19.7 million in initial consideration to acquire all the outstanding equity interests in AZNA.

According to Finisar, AZNA has about 58 employees and was profitable last year on revenues of $6.7 million.

Finisar also said it has agreed to acquire Kodeos Communications Inc., a New Jersey company whose technology enables longer distance transmission.

Finisar said both acquisitions broaden its product lines for telecom applications and add key technologies.
