Foster elected press assn. president

Patrice Foster, vice president of administration of Foster's Daily Democrat of Dover, N.H., was elected 26th president of the New England Newspaper Association during its annual meeting today.

Foster succeeds William F. Lucey III, general manager of The Newport Daily News, of Newport, R.I., who remains on the board as immediate past president of the organization of publishers of daily and weekly papers.

Other officers elected were: first vice president, Tom Brown, president/CEO, Newspapers of New England Inc., Concord, N.H.; second vice president, Robert Laska, president/publisher, Connecticut Post, Bridgeport; secretary/treasurer, William Kennedy, publisher, The Standard-Times, New Bedford, Mass.
