Polaroid Corp. said today it is launching new software packages aimed at helping small organizations create in-house photo identification systems.

The Waltham company said its Polaroid Commercial ID Systems division is now offering ID Card Maker Entry Edition, a low-cost entry-level software package, and ID Card Maker Weblink, a Web-based identification program.

"With the addition of ID Card Maker Entry and ID Card Maker Weblink to the current software lineup, we truly have options that cover the full spectrum of application requirements, from simple to advanced," Audrey White, Polaroid Commercial ID senior product and marketing manager, said in a statement.
