PTC gets more business from Singapore

Parametric Technology Corp. said today that a major Singapore customer has expanded its relationship with the Needham firm.

Parametric, which is also known as PTC, is a provider of product lifecycle management, content management, and dynamic publishing solutions.

PTC said that Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd. of Singapore has upgraded its Windchill software, an Internet-based content management system.

"High-tech companies need to shorten production time [and]deliver more complex products, while managing both design and manufacturing through a heavily outsourced value chain," Richard Kulkarni, PTC South Asia vice president, said in a statement.
