Ted Raymond, who developed the ill-fated, $120 million Turner Hill golf and residential community in Ipswich, has agreed to sell the Turner Hill Golf Club to its members for an undisclosed price.
Alan Eisner, a spokesman for Turner Hill, said Raymond's company is still negotiating separately with developers interested in purchasing the development rights and residences currently on the 310-acre property that was once a country estate and then inhabited by priests.
The member group that purchased the club was led by Brian Girvan of Manchester and Bob Talbot, who lives at Turnerhill. The transaction is expected to close by mid-April, the developer said.
