ZeptoMetrix gets gov't influenza contract
ZeptoMetrix Corp. said today it has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract to support a study of influenza viruses.
Based in Buffalo, N.Y., ZeptoMetrix does some of its work at a facility in Franklin; the company manufactures and distributes products for the research and biotechnology communities worldwide.
ZeptoMetrix said it has been awarded a contract from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, part of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
The contract calls for ZeptoMetrix to create a large, secure collection of influenza viruses, including bird flu, that will be provided to approved companies that develop diagnostic tests, ZeptoMetrix said.
