David Ortiz is set to party tonight at the shoe debut of his new Reebok signature baseball cleat.

Red Sox slugger Ortiz has a full dance-card today, with the team's home opener pencilled in for 2 p.m. and an event tonight to help Reebok International Ltd. unveil the latest model of his Big Papi baseball cleats, Reebok said.

Reebok, a Canton designer of athletic apparel and footwear, plans to host a "star-studded" evening event at Underbar in Boston to celebrate its renewed partnership with Ortiz and to show off its new shoe, the company said.

At the event, Ortiz will unveil his new Reebok signature baseball cleat, the Big Papi 2M Mid, which will be available at retail in August with a suggested price of $100, Reebok said.

According to Reebok, a swarm of celebrities and near-greats will be on hand to witness the event.

The guest list, Reebok said, includes Sox players Josh Beckett and Wily Mo Pena as well as "acclaimed actress Chloe Sevigny, music icon Daddy Yankee, Hollywood couple Chris Klein and Ginnifer Goodwin, Super Bowl MVPs Peyton Manning and Deion Branch" and other luminaries too numerous to mention here.

Reebok is a subsidiary of the Adidas Group of Germany.
