Boston Communications Group Inc. plans to reduce its workforce by 93 people, or about 21 percent, and record a related one-time charge of about $2 million in the fiscal second quarter.

Most of the affected employees are at the headquarters in Bedford, the company, a provider of prepaid wireless services, said today.

Separately, Boston Communications said it has received an additional letter from Nasdaq indicating it's not in compliance with the filing requirements for continued listing.

The company plans to file restated financial statements within 60 to 90 days.
