Evergreen Solar Inc., which makes solar power products, said today that it received a contract extension from solar services provider SunEdison valued at about $316 million.
The extension calls for Evergreen Solar to deliver additional photovoltaic modules to SunEdison through 2011 and brings the total value of the contract to more than $510 million.
The contract extension also raises the total amount of Evergreen Solar sales agreements over the last 16 months to more than $1 billion, the company said. Evergreen Solar will perform most of the work for the contracts in Thalheim, Germany. Its plant in Massachusetts will perform the remainder of the work. (AP)
