Jackson returns to Yankee Group

The Yankee Group said today that John Jackson has returned to the firm as vice president of enabling technologies research.

In his new role, Jackson will extend his prior coverage of relating to mobile devices to investigate competitive and emerging market strategies in the global communication technology industry, the firm said.

With headquarters in Boston, the Yankee Group is a research group that focuses on the impacts of global connectivity.

Most recently, Jackson was with M:Metrics, a Seattle firm that, among other things, looks at the consumption of mobile content.
