Kodak to present at Boston conference

Imaging technology products maker Eastman Kodak Co. will hold an investor event at an AIIM/On Demand graphic arts conference in Boston today.

Kodak, once the largest maker of photographic film, has been transforming itself into a digital-imaging company focused on consumer photography and commercial printing, and last month established a chief operating office to streamline management. At the time, company officials said the move would bring a leaner management structure that will lower costs and boost growth.

Citigroup analyst Matthew Troy expects Kodak to discuss an expansion of its Nexpress lineup, its relationship with Canon and Kodak's distribution of the ImagePress 7000, for which launch dates will likely be provided.

"Neither are game-changing from a financial perspective, but strategically a step in the right direction," Troy wrote in a client note.

Troy also expects Kodak to discuss its emphasis on scanners, software and support. (AP)
