SolidWorks sponsors high school contest
SolidWorks Corp. is part of an effort to launch a nationwide contest that would challenge high school students to design, modify and race scale-model remote-controlled cars.
With offices in Concord, SolidWorks is a supplier of three-dimensional computer-assisted design technology, or 3D CAD.
SolidWork said it is working on the FastTrack National Challenge League project with Ten80 Education, a New York firm founded by engineers, teachers, and scientists who collaborate to help student better understand math and science.
The FastTrack National Challenge League is based on a Math2Go Accelerated program in which students learn and apply the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, and math, said SolidWorks, which is part of Dassault Systemes SA of France.
