Comcast and Circuit City Stores Inc. are opening a Connect electronics boutique at Wayside Commons, the new Burlington lifestyle mall.

The store is scheduled to celebrate its official grand opening this weekend, the companies said.

Connect is a retail experiment, and the companies opened their first Connect in Medford in late 2006.

As consumer-electronics and the services that support them become more complex, the thinking behind Connect is that consumers need a comfortable shopping environment where a helpful staff can assist them in sorting out options and making intelligent choices about both products and services.

According to the companies, Connect allows consumers to create and customize their "digital home" with the best in new electronics and high-speed Internet and voice services by combining a selection of high-end products from Circuit City and services from Comcast.
