Gasoline prices in Massachusetts edged up another penny per gallon over the past week for the 16th consecutive weekly increase, AAA of Southern New England said today.
A statewide survey conducted by the automobile association found an average price of $3.04 for a gallon of self-service regular unleaded, up from $3.03 on May 21.
Since the recent run of price increases began in early February, Massachusetts gas prices have risen 89 cents per gallon. A year ago, the average price was $2.94.
However, Massachusetts gas prices remain below today's nationwide average of $3.20 per gallon, AAA said. (AP)
