Katovich new legal chief at BSE

The Boston Stock Exchange announced today that John Katovich will be its chief legal officer.

Katovich, who will also hold the title of executive vice president, will oversee the regulatory, legal, and regulatory systems development functions at the exchange, the exchange said.

"John brings a unique combination of regulatory expertise and business acumen that will enable us to meet and exceed our obligations as a regulator in the national market system and an operator of multiple businesses for our seat holders," Mike Curran, chairman and chief executive of the Boston Stock Exchange, said in a statement.
