Leerink Swann partners with KBT

Leerink Swann unveiled an exclusive alliance today with KBT Partners, a newly formed management services firm.

Headquartered in Boston, Leerink Swann is an investment banking firm with a focus on health care.

KBT Partners, also of Boston, specializes in healthcare information technology, or HCIT.

Under the agreement between the two firms, KBT Partners will become exclusive consultants within Leerink Swann's MEDACorp network, which is comprised of more than 26,000 healthcare and biomedical professionals, Leerink Swann said.

"By combining the advisory capabilities of KBT Partners with our banking platform, Leerink Swann will be uniquely positioned to address the emerging needs of our HCIT clients to be successful throughout the various lifecycle stages of their companies," chairman and chief executive Jeffrey A. Leerink said in a statement.
