Mary Kay Leonard will serve as interim president and CEO of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley starting at the end of June, the charity's board of directors said.

As previously announced, Milton J. Little Jr., the current president and chief executive, will be leaving the chapter to become president and chief professional officer of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. Leonard is currently Group Vice President of Investor Relations at United Way of America.

Cathy Minehan, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, is leading a search committee to recruit a new president and CEO of the chapter.
