Monster, Boston Globe launch website
The Boston Globe, Boston.com, and Monster said today they have launched a co-branded website for Boston-area employers and job seekers.
The address of the site is www.boston.com/monster.
The site is the latest step in a strategic alliance announced in February between The New York Times Co., parent company of The Boston Globe and Boston.com, and Monster Worldwide Inc., whose flagship brand, Monster, is an online careers and recruitment resource.
"By combining the richness of Monster's technology with the local traffic of Boston.com and BostonWorks, boston.com/monster becomes the ultimate employment resource, providing quality solutions and value for both employers and job seekers alike," Jason Kissell, managing director at The Boston Globe, said in a statement.
"One of Monster's major focus areas is supporting small- and medium-sized businesses, and launching co-branded sites like boston.com/monster enables us to provide more of the qualified local candidates these employers need," Peter Newton, a senior vice president at Monster North America, said in a statement.
