NE's largest chandelier gets a high tech cleaning
At Lombardo's in Randolph, a giant chandelier has long illuminated wedding parties and prom dates, and now, thanks to an "aqua-sonic" cleaning, its lights are as radiant as a new bride.
The storied crystal chandelier has just undergone a high-tech cleaning and restoration, said Lombardo's, a full-service conference and function-facility operation that bills itself as "a family business, not a parent company."
As chandeliers go, this one's an iconic whopper, measuring 18 feet wide and 23 feet high, Lombardo's said. The facility claims it is the largest in New England.
The chandelier has graced an atrium near a grand spiral staircase since the building opened more than 30 years ago as the Chateau de Ville; Lombardo's purchased the property about 10 years later, and the massive chandelier has been its trademark ever since, Lombardo's said in a press release.
