Raytheon lands $11.6 Navy contract

The U.S. Navy on Thursday awarded an $11.6 million contract boost to Raytheon Co. for engineering services on a guided-missile weapons program.
The deal authorizes 70,590 hours of work on the MK-31 RAM Guided-Missile Weapons System. The program is jointly run by the United States and Germany.
The Waltham, Mass.-based company will perform the work in Tucson, Ariz. through September.
Shares of Raytheon rose 28 cents to $54.71 in extended trading, after shares rose 5 cents to end the regular trading session at $54.43. (AP)
