Raytheon wins small business award

The Smaller Business Association of New England presented an innovation award to Raytheon Co. for its continued support of small businesses and technology companies in the region.

Raytheon is a defense contractor headquartered in Waltham, and its Integrated Defense Systems division was singled out by the small business group.

"Raytheon has fostered a culture of identifying innovation in small business and partnering with those businesses on government contracts," Edward Ostrowski, chairman of the Smaller Business Association of New England, said in a statement.
