TripAdvisor launches French and German sites

Travel community TripAdvisor LLC, a unit of online travel company Expedia Inc., said today that it entered the French and German travel markets with the unveiling of two localized web sites.

The sites, www.tripadvisor.fr and www.tripadvisor.de, feature reviews and forum postings in French and German as well as hotel selection tools and other information.

TripAdvisor, which is based in Needham, said one-third of its 20 million monthly visitors are from Europe.

Shares of Expedia fell 45 cents to $24 in morning trading. (AP)
