Archon Group L.P. sold two Boston office-and-retail buildings for $73 million to Normandy Real Estate Partners, a broker involved in the transaction said.

The broker is the Boston office of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler L.P.,or HFF, which represented Archon, a Texas-based commercial real estate investment management and mortgage loan company.

With headquarters in New Jersey, Normandy Real Estate Partners is a real estate investment management company.

The addresses of the buildings are 281 and 321 Summer St.; those locations, with 257,720 square feet of space, are in the South Boston Waterfront District near South Station, HFF said.

"The area surrounding 281 and 321 Summer St. is poised to reposition itself as a prominent mixed-use center for housing, office space, and entertainment along the lines of New York's Soho or TriBeca," HFF director Coleman Benedict said in a statement.
