Umbro chooses Parametric tech

Parametric Technology Corp. said today that a European company is using Parametric products to cut costs and shorten lead times for the manufacturing of soccer footwear and apparel.

Parametric of Needham, which likes to call itself "PTC, the product development company," is a provider of lifecycle management, content management, and dynamic publishing solutions.

The company said today that the Umbro Group, a British manufacturer of soccer-related products, has selected PTC's FlexPLM solution for retail, footwear, and apparel.
