Xanthus Pharmaceuticals Inc. said it presented preliminary data today for a compound that reversed signs of chronic disease in an animal model for multiple sclerosis.
Xanthus is headquartered in Cambridge, and the compound in question is Symadex.
The company said the presentation of the data was made at a session of the American Academy of Neurology Meeting in Boston.
"We now have a significant body of promising preclinical data supporting the use of Symadex in multiple autoimmune indications," Xanthus chief executive Richard T. Dean said in a statement.
