Arnold taps Steele for its McDonald's business

mcdonalds107.jpg The Boston ad agency Arnold said it has hired Gary W. Steele, who long worked on ads for the Wendy's and Burger King hamburger chains, to oversee Arnold's McDonald's business.

Steele's title will be managing partner, executive director, said the agency, which added that Arnold’s McDonald’s business includes 16 co-ops with a total of more than 2,500 restaurants.

"Gary is one of the most knowledgeable agency leaders in the fast food restaurant sector,” Tom Lawson, managing partner of Arnold, said in a statement. “He is known as a strong brand and business building strategist, as well as a champion of excellent client service and creative.”

Steele will ultimately succeed Lawson, Arnold said.
