Gene Network and Biogen Idec will collaborate

Gene Network Sciences Inc. today announced a drug development collaboration with Biogen Idec Inc., the Cambridge drug company.

Gene Network Sciences, also of Cambridge, said that it has entered into an agreement with Biogen Idec under which Gene Network Sciences will use its proproprietary REFS software platform to process clinical data provided by Biogen Idec, which is seeking to identify targets and biomarkers in inflammation.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
