Mass. gas prices fall another 20 cents a gallon

Massachusetts gas prices continued to fall with a 20-cent drop over the last week, AAA Southern New England said today in its weekly report.

Gas prices have fallen 51 cents in just two weeks and as a result, motorists are paying the lowest prices since April 2007, AAA Southern New England said.

AAA said its Oct. 27 of Massachusetts gas prices found that self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.639 per gallon. Massachusetts is currently 3 cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.669, AAA Southern New England said.

A year ago at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was $2.729, AAA Southern New England said.
