New postmaster of Boston is sworn in

James J. Holland was sworn in as the 52nd postmaster of Boston in a ceremony at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, the US Postal Service said today.
As postmaster of Boston, Holland, a Northeastern University graduate who began his postal career as a distribution and window clerk in Boston in1988, will oversee the 100 stations, branches, and carrier annexes of the Boston Post Office.

Holland succeeds Marsha A. Cannon, who retired from the Postal Service in November 2007, the Postal Service said.
