Promotions and hirings in and around the Hub
Mintera Corp., an Acton-based provider of high bit-rate optical transport systems solutions, announced the appointments of Rick Lane as vice president of operations and of Bryan Siegal as vice president of quality and customer satisfaction. Previously, Lane helped drive the separation of an IP router and managed network services division from Motorola to become an independent, profitable business. Siegal joined Mintera in December 2006.
Boston Healthcare Associates Inc. announced the appointment of Adam Barak as vice president. Boston Healthcare assists emerging and established biopharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic companies in gaining a competitive advantage in the health care marketplace. The company said that Barak brings 16 years of pricing and reimbursement experience, including the development of global pricing and reimbursement strategies for drugs, medical devices, and diagnostics at such companies as GlaxoWellcome.
RockPort Capital Partners, a cleantech venture capital firm founded in Boston, announced that Victor Westerlind has joined the firm as a general partner in its office in Menlo Park, Calif. RockPort said that Westerlind brings broad venture experience in several sectors, including semiconductors, advanced materials, and the wireless and enterprise hardware industries. Westerlind was most recently a partner at InterWest Partners.
