Virtusa Corp., a Westborough-based global information technology services company, has announced a number of promotions. Tom Holler has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Ranjan Kalia has been promoted to senior vice president, chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary. Raj Rajgopal has been promoted to executive vice president of business development and client services. And Keith Modder has been promoted to president, Asia, and executive vice president of global services.
Pinnacle Financial Group, a Southborough-based benefits and insurance consulting firm, announced that Brendan Hickey has joined the firm as senior vice president of sales. In this role, he will build upon the existing capabilities of Pinnacle's dedicated business development team to identify new opportunities throughout the Northeast. Before joining Pinnacle Financial Group, the Boston College graduate held sales and business development roles at Bloomberg LP, Granite Telecommunications, and Hoffman Recruiters.
Saucony Inc., athletic footwear and apparel brand that's now a division of Stride Rite Corp. of Lexington, has promoted Pat O’Malley to the newly created position of vice president of global product. In his new role, O’Malley will be responsible for the brand’s worldwide footwear design, development, and engineering. Before his promotion, O’Malley served as vice president of product for Saucony, a post he held since 2005.
InVivo Therapeutics Corp. said it has appointed Eric Woodard, MD, as chief medical officer and Robin Newman as director of clinical and regulatory Affairs. InVivo Therapeutics is a Cambridge-based medical device company focused on restoring function in individuals paralyzed by traumatic spinal cord injury. Woodard, who will retain his post as chief of neurosurgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, was formerly chief of the division of spinal surgery in the department of neurologic surgery at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an assistant professor in surgery at Harvard Medical School. Newman joins InVivo with more than 20 years of experience in the clinical trials industry. As a founder, executive vice president, and chief scientific officer of MedTrials Inc., a contract research organization in Dallas, Newman oversaw and managed clinical trials for numerous medical device and biotechnology companies, InVivo Therapeutics said.
Halloran Consulting Group, a Boston firm that specializes in clinical development services for established and emerging life sciences companies, announced that Ulrich Elben has become a member of its senior management team. Elben brings more than 20 years of clinical development management experience in both biotech and biopharmaceutical companies to his role as vice president of program management and regulatory operations. Before joining Halloran Consulting, Elben served as chief development officer at Avaant Pharmaceuticals, which has offices in the UK.
