State Street Global Advisors, or SSgA, says it will transfer 76 exchange traded funds (ETFs) managed by SSgA Funds Management Inc. from NYSE Alternext US, formerly the American Stock Exchange, to the NYSE Arca listing and trading platform on Nov. 7.

ETFs are investment vehicles that trade on stock exchanges, and the move of the State Street ETFs comes as a result of the completed acquisition of the American Stock Exchange by NYSE Euronext, SSgA said.

SSgA is the investment management arm of State Street Corp., a Boston company that provides financial services to institutional investors.

As of Sept. 30, US assets under management in State Street's ETFs totaled more than $168 billion,up from $133.9 billion year-over-year, SSgA said.
