WGBH plans interactive "green" game for kids
WGBH, the public broadcaster based in Boston, said it has received a $100,000 grant from the ESA Foundation to develop an interactive game that will teach children how to deal with environmental challenges and lead sustainable lives.
"'The Great Greens Adventure Game' will launch in 2009 and will become the centerpiece of WGBH’s the Greens website, designed to engage kids 9-13 with environmental issues," WGBH said in a press release.
The ESA Foundation was created by the American interactive entertainment software industry to support and provide opportunities that can make a difference in the health, welfare, and quality of life of America’s youth, WGBH noted in its release.
