Local firms and executives win Stevie awards

stevie1119.jpg Insight Performance Inc. in Dedham has been honored by the 2008 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The human resources consulting firm was named as “Best Overall Company of the Year” in the service businesses category for firms with fewer than 100 employees.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners, and the organizations they run.

The public relations firm for the Virginia-based organization that runs the awards noted that several other local companies and executives won Stevie Awards this year.

In acknowledging its selection as "Best Overall Company of the Year," Insight Performance said in a press release, "The award recognizes Insight’s significant achievements in building exceptional workplaces for itself and its clients by implementing family-friendly workplace policies, flexible schedules, open communication, respect for ideas, and rewards for success."

The press release included a statement from Nancy R. Mobley, president and chief executive officer of Insight Performance.

“We believe that creating workplaces of choice attracts top talent and motivates employees to do their best for companies and their customers," Mobley said.
