redstone1107.jpgThe highest court in Massachusetts has given renewed life to a lawsuit filed by the nephew of Sumner Redstone that claims the entertainment mogul and his brother ripped the younger Redstone off.

The Supreme Judicial Court today rejected a lower court finding that the statute of limitations had expired for Michael Redstone's claim that his father and Sumner Redstone (right) cheated him out of shares of Redstone's National Amusements Inc. in a 1972 transaction. Sumner bought out his brother Edward then, partially with shares Michael claims belonged to him and his sister.

The court ruled the three-year statute of limitations didn't start until 2004, when Michael says he realized he was shortchanged.
