MediaTek Inc. is relocating local office space from Wilmington to Woburn after signing a lease for about 50,000 square feet of space in the MetroNorth Corporate Center at 120 Presidential Way, a broker involved in the transaction said today.

The broker is Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC, a commercial real estate advisory firm headquartered in Boston.

Headquartered in Taiwan, MediaTek is a fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital media solutions, according to its website.

Richards Barry Joyce & Partners, which is known as RBJ, said it represented National Development, the building's landlord, in the transaction. National Development is a Newton commercial real estate company that provides development, construction, asset management, and investment acquisition services. MediaTek's lease brings a building with about 75,000 square feet of office space to full occupancy, said RBJ, which added that MediaTek was represented by Grubb & Ellis in the transaction.

According to RBJ, MetroNorth Corporate Center is a 1.2 million square foot master-planned campus served by a new interchange off Interstate 93. In-park amenities include a Marriott Residence Inn and a full-service cafeteria. Additionally, a Boston Sports Club is expected to open shortly.
