The board of selectmen in Middleton has granted cable franchises for Verizon FiOS TV service, Verizon Communications Inc. said today.
According to Verizon, its fiber-optic, or FiOS, television service offers a better-quality picture, more high-definition channels, and video-on-demand programs than rival television services..
Middleton's decision bring to 85 the total number of Massachusetts communities where Verizon’s FiOS TV is or will soon be available, Verizon said.
Headquartered in New York, Verizon delivers broadband and other wireline and wireless services to mass market, business, government, and wholesale customers.

We're one town over in Peabody and cannot receive an adequate answer from the mayor's office when to expect FIOS. The mayor's office provided a contact (x-mayor of Salem) as the Verizon rep. but when I attempted to contact the gentlemen he was no longer with Verizon nor could did I receive any correspondence of who to contact. I forwarded my information to the mayor's office and received NO response.
Frustrated citizen of Peabody.
