Papa Gino's names new president
Papa Gino’s Holdings Corp., the Dedham-based parent company to the Papa Gino’s and the D’Angelo restaurant chains, announced two key promotions today.
Former executive vice president of operations Rick Wolf (left) was named president and chief operating officer of the Papa Gino’s parent company, and Lori Whelan, former executive vice president of finance and strategic planning, will take over as the company’s chief financial officer, the company said.
Thomas Galligan had held three titles at Papa Gino’s Holdings Corp. - chairman, chief executive, and president.
As the new president, Wolf will take over day-to-day operations of the Papa Gino's and D'Angelo chains, and Galligan will remain chairman and chief executive with a focus on strategic growth, a company spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
In early 2007, the company disclosed ambitious expansion plans. To read a Globe story about those plans, please click here.
In a statement today, Galligan addressed the promotions of Wolf and Whelan.
“Both Rick and Lori are proven leaders who are committed to improving performance at all levels of the organization,” Galligan said. “We are confident that Rick and Lori will continue to manage our company’s operations and finances and help us grow the company.”
